About
I usually only consume media and do not think about it too much. Starting to write (badly) here about the things I consume is my way of trying to understand and make sense of things. This is something I neglect to do, so hopefully both my writing and consuming skills improve with this exercise.
This website
I previously compiled this website from latex using LaTeXML. It was a bit wonky since I didn’t really learn how to use it, so it was a bunch of terrible hacks stapled together with random bash scripts and a makefile. The site now uses Markdown and Soupault.
Unfinished business
I have tried (and tested) my hand at various things, at an average rate of once every two years.
-
Bookbinding various journals, mostly Coptic or Ethiopian, which reduces the gift selection problem to the pretty journal cover selection problem. Here’s one with flowers, a different one with flowers, and a third one with more flowers.
-
An unprinted synthwave Love Letter deck on Gimp. The (original) game is amazing, try it out on BGA if you have an account.
-
A half-finished CMI computer lab on Blender. Needs some keyboards, chairs, and, most importantly, lights.
-
A half-finished viXra paper on the domestication of dogs.1
-
A decent amount of crosswords. Though some themes were nice, most of the (relatively) good ones have some injokes, and so are virtually unsolvable. I’ll make a normal one eventually and post it here.
